What are we learning today?

You will learn to use a dictionary and a word list to check words and learn more.

Explanation

• A dictionary gives the meaning, the spelling, the part of speech and an example.
• Check your spelling in the dictionary, for example guitarist.
• A vocabulary bank groups useful words, such as transport words.
• The suffix -ist names a person: cycle - cyclist.
• You can learn opposites: safe - dangerous, modern - old, lucky - unlucky.
• Write prefixes in a different colour: un-lucky.
• Follow the steps: read, guess, check, write an example.
