You will give your opinion and support it with reasons and an example.

Explanation

• A good argument has three parts: an opinion, a reason and an example.
• Start with: I like ... because ...
• Add an example: For example, ...
• Use because, and, but and so to link your ideas.
• Use so to show a result.
• End with a short conclusion: So, I think ...

Examples

1. I like rats because they are clever. For example, they find food fast.
2. I like gorillas because they are strong.
3. I'm afraid of snakes, but they are very interesting.

Remember!

• Always give a reason for your opinion.
• Do not change your opinion in the middle.
