What are we learning today?

You will understand the main points of a longer conversation.

Explanation

• You do not need to understand every word.
• Listen for the main points: who, where and what.
• Listen for the topic, the places and what was interesting.
• Listen again to check true and false statements.
• Do not give up after one difficult sentence.

Examples

1. Two people talk about a visit to the zoo.
2. Main points: a zoo visit, a cute baby monkey, snakes asleep.
3. A guide gives directions: "Walk down this hall. Turn left. Take the stairs up to the third floor."

Remember!

• Listen for main points first, not every word.
• Do not write every word you hear.
