What are we learning today?

You will read short texts and tell facts from stories.

Explanation

• Non-fiction gives facts. Fiction tells a story with characters.
• First, look at the title and the pictures.
• Read the whole text quickly, without stopping.
• Then answer the questions and look back for details.

Examples

1. Non-fiction: Fish live in water and use gills to breathe.
2. Non-fiction: Birds have got two legs, two wings and feathers.
3. Fiction: When I got to the top of the hill the sun was already going down.

Remember!

• Read quickly the first time to find the main idea.
• Do not mix facts and story events.
