What are we learning today?

You will read a short text and understand the main idea and the details.

Explanation

• First, look at the title and the pictures.
• Read the text once for the main idea.
• Then answer the questions.
• Look back at the text for details.
• Fiction tells a story. Non-fiction gives facts.

Examples

1. Paco is eleven and lives in Bogota. He wants to be a pilot.
2. I want to be a famous chef. I practise cooking at the weekend.
3. Today, many people work in service jobs, for example, doctors, dentists and teachers.

Remember!

• Do not skip the title.
• Read for the idea first, then for the details.
