What are we learning today?

You will learn to spell common words about animals and plants correctly.

Explanation

• Some plurals are special. Fish stays fish, and sheep stays sheep.
• Leaf becomes leaves.
• With he, she and it, some verbs change in a special way: go becomes goes, teach becomes teaches, and study becomes studies.
• Animal words: giraffe, elephant, monkey, spider, tiger, zebra.
• Say a long word in syllables, then write it.
• Practise like this: look, cover, write, check.

Examples

1. There are twenty white sheep on the farm.
2. Giraffes eat leaves.
3. Elephant: el-e-phant.

Remember!

• Do not write "leafs", "sheeps" or "fishes".
• Do not write "studys". Write "studies".
