Feelings and Opinions

What are we learning today?

You will learn to write about your feelings and opinions with reasons.

Explanation

• Use verbs of feeling: I love, I enjoy, I like, I don't like.
• Use feeling words: happy, afraid, worried, great, tiring.
• Use opinion phrases: I think, in my opinion, I'm sure.
• Always add a reason with "because".
• Use "but" to join two different feelings.
• Write full sentences.

Examples

1. I quite enjoy studying at home. It's great to be near my family but I would like to meet my classmates.
2. This lesson is only half an hour but it's tiring.
3. I love my school because I have good friends, but I don't like early lessons.

Remember!

• Add a reason to every opinion.
• Use "but" for two different feelings.
