What are we learning today?

You will compare different opinions and say your own opinion.

Explanation

• First, find out what other people think and why.
• Make a table: Opinion, Who says it, Reason, Do I agree?
• Use "Some people think ..." for the first view.
• Use "Others say ..." for another view.
• Use "In my opinion ..." for your own view.
• Always give a reason.

Examples

1. Some people think Friday the 13th is unlucky. Others think it is just a date.
2. I think the weather is important. If it is sunny, it could be a good day.

Remember!

• Do not say "everyone thinks".
• Do not mix facts and opinions.
