Understanding Questions

What are we learning today?

You will understand harder questions and answer them in the right way.

Explanation

• First, underline the question word. Then find the verb.
• Answer in the same tense.
• Some questions are passive: question word + is/are + subject + past participle.
• Plans use the present continuous.
• Do not answer Why with a place or a time.

Examples

1. When is a safety test given to children?
2. Where are you going? How are you getting there?
3. When are you getting back? I'm getting back on Sunday.
