Explanation

• An argument has a main idea, reasons and details.
• Find who says what and why.
• Read about the Globe theatre. The main idea is that theatres in Shakespeare's time were different from today.
• Details support the idea. Poor people paid one penny to stand in the pit. Rich people sat under a roof.
• The government closed the theatres in 1642. A new Globe opened in 1997.
• Underline the main idea. Then underline the details.
