What are we learning today?

You will learn how to write about a real day in the past.

Explanation

• Say where and when it happened.
• Write the events in order. Use words like first, after that and in the evening.
• Use the past simple: went, spent, loved, wore, had, stayed.
• Say how you felt. Then write an ending.
• Add details, for example a time or a number.

Examples

1. Last Saturday we went to the market.
2. We bought fruit and then we ate ice cream.
3. That's something I'll never forget.

Remember!

• Do not mix present and past. Say "We went", not "We go" for yesterday.
• Write feelings, not only a list.
