What are we learning today?

You will learn to say what you think and give a reason. A good opinion has a reason.

Explanation

• Start with "I think" or "In my opinion".
• Then say your opinion.
• Use "because" to give a reason.
• You can add an example with "for example".
• Use strong adjectives like amazing, awful and brilliant.
• Use "I'd prefer to" to say what you like more.

Examples

1. I think shopping is awful. It is so boring.
2. I'd prefer to help animals because I love them.
3. In my opinion, a park is better than a shopping centre because it is free.

Remember!

• An opinion needs a reason: opinion + because + reason.
• Use "to" after "I'd prefer": "I'd prefer to ride my bike."
