Конспект
What are we learning today?
You will describe things, say who owns them and compare them.
Explanation
Adjectives describe things: a nice car, a small bike, an old phone, an expensive computer. Possessive adjectives show who owns a thing: my, your, his, her, its, our, their. They go before a noun. Words like "mine" stand alone. To compare short adjectives, add -er and use "than": short, shorter.
Examples
- That is my dictionary. It's her laptop.
- The book is mine.
- My mum is older than my dad. Are you taller than me?
Remember!
- Say "her laptop", not "she laptop".
- Say "taller than", not "taller that".
Check yourself
- Choose: "Is that ___ phone?" (you / your)
- Complete: "You are ___ than me." (tall)
