Joining Sentences in a Paragraph

What are we learning today?

You will join short sentences into a paragraph. You will use link words and keep the right order.

Explanation

• Use and to add an action: "I get up and I have a shower."
• Use but to show a difference.
• Use because to give a reason. Use so to show a result.
• Use then for the next action.
• Time words keep the order: in the morning, at lunchtime, in the afternoon, at night.

Examples

1. I get up at 6.30 and I have a shower. Then I have breakfast.
2. School starts at 8.00, so I get up early.
3. I don't see Dad because he is sleeping.
