Might, May and Could

What are we learning today?

You will learn to say that something is possible, but you are not sure.

Explanation

• Use might, may or could when you are not sure.
• After them, use the base verb. The verb does not change.
• Say "She might go", not "She might goes".
• For a negative, use might not or may not.
• Do not use "to" after them.

Examples

1. The snake might be asleep.
2. It may rain tomorrow.
3. The monkey could be hungry.

Remember!

• might, may, could + base verb.
• Do not use them for things that are certain. "It is a zebra" is more sure than "It might be a zebra".
