What are we learning today?

You will choose the right word to talk about how much or how many.

Explanation

• With countable nouns, use many, few and fewer.
• With uncountable nouns, use much, little and less.
• A few and a little mean "some".
• Few and little mean "almost none".
• Use not as many ... as and not as much ... as to compare.

Examples

1. There are a few places where cyclists can't go.
2. There isn't much danger from other traffic.
3. There is less traffic in a village than in a city.

Remember!

• Do not use much with countable nouns.
• Do not use less with countable nouns.
